उरुक्रमस्य देवस्य मायावामनरूपिण: । कीर्तौ पत्‍न्‍यां बृहच्छ्‌लोकस्तस्यासन् सौभगादय: ॥ ८ ॥

Transliteration

urukramasya devasya māyā-vāmana-rūpiṇaḥ kīrtau patnyāṁ bṛhacchlokas tasyāsan saubhagādayaḥ

Translation

അനേകം ശക്തികളുള്ള ദേവനായ ഉരുക്രമൻ തന്റെ സ്വമായാശക്തിയാൽ വാമനരൂപം ധരിച്ചു. കീർത്തി എന്ന ഭാര്യയുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽ ബൃഹച്ഛ്ലോകൻ എന്ന പുത്രൻ ജനിച്ചു; അവന് സൗഭഗാദികളായ അനേകം പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായി.
