श्रीकश्यप उवाच वरं वरय वामोरु प्रीतस्तेऽहमनिन्दिते । स्त्रिया भर्तरि सुप्रीते क: काम इह चागम: ॥ ३२ ॥
śrī-kaśyapa uvāca varaṁ varaya vāmoru prītas te ’ham anindite striyā bhartari suprīte kaḥ kāma iha cāgamaḥ
ശ്രീ കശ്യപൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഓ സുന്ദരജംഘയുള്ളവളേ, ഓ നിന്ദാരഹിതയേ! നിന്റെ പെരുമാറ്റത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അത്യന്തം പ്രസന്നനാണ്. നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന വരം ചോദിക്ക. ഭർത്താവ് സന്തുഷ്ടനായാൽ, ഈ ലോകത്തോ പരലോകത്തോ ഭാര്യയ്ക്ക് ഏത് ആഗ്രഹമാണ് ദുഷ്കരം?
