श्रीशुक उवाच हतपुत्रा दिति: शक्रपार्ष्णिग्राहेण विष्णुना । मन्युना शोकदीप्तेन ज्वलन्ती पर्यचिन्तयत् ॥ २३ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca hata-putrā ditiḥ śakra- pārṣṇi-grāheṇa viṣṇunā manyunā śoka-dīptena jvalantī paryacintayat
ശ്രീ ശുകദേവ ഗോസ്വാമി പറഞ്ഞു: ഇന്ദ്രനെ സഹായിക്കാനായി ഭഗവാൻ വിഷ്ണു ദീതിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹിരണ്യാക്ഷനെയും ഹിരണ്യകശിപുവിനെയും വധിച്ചു. പുത്രദുഃഖത്താലും കോപത്താലും ജ്വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ദീതി ഇപ്രകാരം ചിന്തിച്ചു.
