Diti’s Puṁsavana Vow, Indra’s Intervention, and the Birth of the Maruts
ime śraddadhate brahmann ṛṣayo hi mayā saha parijñānāya bhagavaṁs tan no vyākhyātum arhasi
This verse shows that faithful hearing and sincere desire to understand are essential qualifications; with śraddhā, one approaches the teacher and requests a clear explanation.
Parīkṣit, along with the sages present, wanted a complete understanding of the narrated subject, so he respectfully urged Śukadeva to explain it in a proper, authoritative way.
Approach authentic scripture and teachers with faith, humility, and thoughtful questions—then practice what you understand rather than treating spirituality as mere information.
