deva-gurv-acyute bhaktis tri-varga-paripoṣaṇam āstikyam udyamo nityaṁ naipuṇyaṁ vaiśya-lakṣaṇam

Translation

ദേവന്മാരോടും ഗുരുവോടും അച്യുതനായ വിഷ്ണുവോടും ഭക്തി; ധർമ്മ‑അർത്ഥ‑കാമ ത്രിവർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ പുരോഗതിക്കായി നിരന്തരം പരിശ്രമം; ശാസ്ത്ര‑ഗുരുവചനങ്ങളിൽ ആസ്തിക്യം; ധനാർജ്ജനത്തിൽ നൈപുണ്യം—ഇവയാണ് വൈശ്യന്റെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ.
