न स्तुवीत न निन्देत कुर्वत: साध्वसाधु वा । वदतो गुणदोषाभ्यां वर्जित: समदृङ्मुनि: ॥ १६ ॥
na stuvīta na nindeta kurvataḥ sādhv asādhu vā vadato guṇa-doṣābhyāṁ varjitaḥ sama-dṛṅ muniḥ
സമദർശിയായ മുനി മറ്റുള്ളവർ നല്ലതോ ചീത്തയോ ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്ന് കണ്ടാലും, ശരിയായോ തെറ്റായോ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് കണ്ടാലും, ആരെയും പുകഴ്ത്തുകയോ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്യില്ല. ഗുണദോഷദ്വന്ദ്വങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അവൻ അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
