वालखिल्या: सहस्राणि षष्टिर्ब्रह्मर्षयोऽमला: । पुरतोऽभिमुखं यान्ति स्तुवन्ति स्तुतिभिर्विभुम् ॥ ४९ ॥
vālakhilyāḥ sahasrāṇi ṣaṣṭir brahmarṣayo ’malāḥ purato ’bhimukhaṁ yānti stuvanti stutibhir vibhum
രഥത്തിന്റെ മുന്നിൽ നിർമല ബ്രഹ്മർഷികളായ വാലഖില്യർ അറുപതിനായിരം പേർ മുൻപോട്ട് സഞ്ചരിച്ച്, വൈദിക മന്ത്രസ്തുതികളാൽ സർവശക്തനായ സൂര്യദേവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു।
