Kṛṣṇa Teases Rukmiṇī; Her Devotional Reply and the Lord’s Assurance
व्यूढायाश्चापि पुंश्चल्या मनोऽभ्येति नवं नवम् । बुधोऽसतीं न बिभृयात् तां बिभ्रदुभयच्युत: ॥ ४८ ॥
vyūḍhāyāś cāpi puṁścalyā mano ’bhyeti navaṁ navam budho ’satīṁ na bibhṛyāt tāṁ bibhrad ubhaya-cyutaḥ
വിവാഹിതയായിട്ടും വ്യഭിചാരിണിയായ സ്ത്രീയുടെ മനസ് എപ്പോഴും പുതുപുതിയ പ്രണയികളെ തേടുന്നു. ബുദ്ധിമാൻ അത്തരം അസതീ ഭാര്യയെ നിലനിർത്തരുത്; അവളെ നിലനിർത്തുന്നവൻ ഇഹലോകവും പരലോകവും രണ്ടിലും ഭാഗ്യം നഷ്ടപ്പെടും.
