Akrūra’s Prayers (Akrūra-stuti): The Lord as Cause of Causes, Virāṭ, and the Goal of All Paths
yāni yānīha rūpāṇi krīḍanārthaṁ bibharṣi hi tair āmṛṣṭa-śuco lokā mudā gāyanti te yaśaḥ
This verse says that the very forms Kṛṣṇa manifests for divine play cleanse the worlds of grief, inspiring people to joyfully sing His fame.
They emphasize that Kṛṣṇa’s incarnations and revealed forms are not material; they are compassionate līlā meant to uplift beings, dissolve sorrow, and awaken devotion through remembrance and glorification.
When distress arises, take shelter of Kṛṣṇa’s līlā through śravaṇa-kīrtana—hearing and chanting His names and pastimes—so the mind becomes purified and joy replaces heaviness.
