अलातैर्दह्यमानोऽपि नामुञ्चत्तमुरङ्गम: । तमस्पृशत्पदाभ्येत्य भगवान्सात्वतां पति: ॥ ८ ॥

Transliteration

alātair dahyamāno ’pi nāmuñcat tam uraṅgamaḥ tam aspṛśat padābhyetya bhagavān sātvatāṁ patiḥ

Translation

തീക്കൊള്ളികളാൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നിട്ടും സർപ്പം നന്ദ മഹാരാജാവിനെ വിട്ടില്ല. അപ്പോൾ ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ നാഥനായ ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ അവിടെ വന്ന് തന്റെ പാദം കൊണ്ട് സർപ്പത്തെ സ്പർശിച്ചു.
