Kṛṣṇa Swallows the Forest Fire (Dāvāgni-līlā) and Restores the Herd
तृणैस्तत्खुरदच्छिन्नैर्गोष्पदैरङ्कितैर्गवाम् । मार्गमन्वगमन् सर्वे नष्टाजीव्या विचेतस: ॥ ४ ॥
tṛṇais tat-khura-dac-chinnair goṣ-padair aṅkitair gavām mārgam anvagaman sarve naṣṭājīvyā vicetasaḥ
പിന്നീട് പശുക്കളുടെ കുളമ്പടയാളങ്ങളും കുളമ്പും പല്ലും കൊണ്ട് ഒടിഞ്ഞ പുല്ലും നോക്കി അവർ വഴിയെ പിന്തുടർന്നു. ഉപജീവനത്തിന്റെ ആധാരം നഷ്ടമായതിനാൽ ഗോപകുമാരന്മാർ അത്യന്തം വ്യാകുലരായിരുന്നു।
