Kṛṣṇa Swallows the Forest Fire (Dāvāgni-līlā) and Restores the Herd
tataś ca te ’kṣīṇy unmīlya punar bhāṇḍīram āpitāḥ niśamya vismitā āsann ātmānaṁ gāś ca mocitāḥ
This verse shows that after the peril passed, the cowherd boys opened their eyes to find themselves safely returned to Bhāṇḍīra, amazed to realize that both they and the cows had been delivered—highlighting Kṛṣṇa’s protective grace.
They suddenly found themselves safe again at Bhāṇḍīra and, upon hearing what had occurred, were filled with wonder at how they and the cows were rescued—recognizing an extraordinary act of divine protection.
Remembering Kṛṣṇa as the protector encourages steadiness in crises, prayerful dependence, and gratitude after deliverance—cultivating faith rather than panic when facing overwhelming situations.
