आज्ञप्त एवं कुपितेन मन्युना स देवदेवं परिचक्रमे विभुम् । मेने तदात्मानमसङ्गरंहसा महीयसां तात सह: सहिष्णुम् ॥ ५ ॥

കോപരൂപനായ മന്യുവാൽ ആജ്ഞാപിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവൻ ദേവദേവനായ മഹാവിഭുവായ രുദ്രനെ പ്രദക്ഷിണ ചെയ്തു. മഹാത്മാക്കളുടെ സഹിഷ്ണുതയെയും നേരിടാൻ കഴിയുന്ന അപ്രതിഹത ബലം തനിക്കുണ്ടെന്ന് അവൻ കരുതി.
