satyavrato ’ñjali-gatāṁ saha toyena bhārata utsasarja nadī-toye śapharīṁ draviḍeśvaraḥ

ഭാരതവംശജനായ പരീക്ശിതേ! ദ്രാവിഡദേശാധിപൻ സത്യവ്രതൻ തന്റെ അഞ്ജലിയിൽ വന്ന ആ മത്സ്യത്തെ കൈയിലെ വെള്ളത്തോടൊപ്പം നദിവെള്ളത്തിൽ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു।
