तस्मात् त्रीणि पदान्येव वृणे त्वद् वरदर्षभात् । एतावतैव सिद्धोऽहं वित्तं यावत्प्रयोजनम् ॥ २७ ॥

Transliteration

tasmāt trīṇi padāny eva vṛṇe tvad varadarṣabhāt etāvataiva siddho ’haṁ vittaṁ yāvat prayojanam

Translation

അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ രാജാവേ, ദാനികളിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനേ, നിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ മൂന്നു പാദങ്ങൾ മാത്രമേ അപേക്ഷിക്കൂ. അത്ര ദാനത്താൽ തന്നെ ഞാൻ തൃപ്തനാകും; ആവശ്യത്തിനുള്ളതത്ര മാത്രം ധനം മതിയാകുന്നു.
