यद‍ृच्छालाभतुष्टस्य तेजो विप्रस्य वर्धते । तत् प्रशाम्यत्यसन्तोषादम्भसेवाशुशुक्षणि: ॥ २६ ॥

Transliteration

yadṛcchā-lābha-tuṣṭasya tejo viprasya vardhate tat praśāmyaty asantoṣād ambhasevāśuśukṣaṇiḥ

Translation

വിധിവശാൽ ലഭിക്കുന്നതിൽ തൃപ്തനായ ബ്രാഹ്മണന്റെ തേജസ് വർധിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അസന്തോഷം മൂലം ആ ആത്മശക്തി വെള്ളം തളിച്ചാൽ അഗ്നി ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ശമിക്കുന്നു.
