Prelude to Vāmana
सोत्थाय बद्धाञ्जलिरीडितुं स्थिता नोत्सेह आनन्दजलाकुलेक्षणा । बभूव तूष्णीं पुलकाकुलाकृति- स्तद्दर्शनात्युत्सवगात्रवेपथु: ॥ ६ ॥
sotthāya baddhāñjalir īḍituṁ sthitā notseha ānanda-jalākulekṣaṇā babhūva tūṣṇīṁ pulakākulākṛtis tad-darśanātyutsava-gātra-vepathuḥ
അദിതി എഴുന്നേറ്റ് കൈകൂപ്പി സ്തുതിക്കാൻ നിന്നുവെങ്കിലും, ആനന്ദാശ്രുക്കൾ നിറഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകളാൽ അവൾക്ക് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ലായിരുന്നു. ഭഗവാനെ മുഖാമുഖം കണ്ടതിന്റെ ഉല്ലാസത്തിൽ അവളുടെ ശരീരത്തിൽ രോമാഞ്ചം പടർന്നു; അവൾ മൗനമായി നിന്നു, പരമാനന്ദോത്സവത്തിൽ ദേഹം വിറച്ചു.
