Prelude to Vāmana
तं नेत्रगोचरं वीक्ष्य सहसोत्थाय सादरम् । ननाम भुवि कायेन दण्डवत् प्रीतिविह्वला ॥ ५ ॥
taṁ netra-gocaraṁ vīkṣya sahasotthāya sādaram nanāma bhuvi kāyena daṇḍavat-prīti-vihvalā
ഭഗവാനെ കണ്ണുകൾക്ക് മുന്നിൽ കണ്ട ഉടൻ അദിതി പെട്ടെന്ന് എഴുന്നേറ്റ്, പ്രീതിയിൽ വിഹ്വളയായി, ആദരത്തോടെ ഭൂമിയിൽ ദണ്ഡവത് വീണ് നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
