Sukta 10
शं नः सोमो भवतु ब्रह्म शं नः शं नो ग्रावाणः शमु सन्तु यज्ञाः । शं नः स्वरूणा मितयो भवन्तु शं नः प्रस्वः१ शम्वस्तु वेदिः
śáṃ naḥ sómo bhavatu bráhma śáṃ naḥ | śáṃ no grā́vāṇaḥ śám u santu yajñā́ḥ | śáṃ naḥ svarū́ṇā mitáyo bhavantu | śáṃ naḥ prasváḥ śám vastu védíḥ ||
Weal be to us: may Soma be for our good; weal be to us from the sacred prayer. Weal be to us: weal, indeed, may the pressing-stones be; and may the sacrifices be weal. Weal be to us: may the fair-formed measures be; weal be to us: weal be increase, weal the dwelling, weal the altar.
ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ശുഭം വരട്ടെ—സോമൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹിതത്തിനായി ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; ബ്രഹ്മ (പവിത്ര മന്ത്ര-പ്രാർത്ഥന) നിന്നുമുള്ള ശുഭവും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭിക്കട്ടെ. ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ശുഭം വരട്ടെ—ഗ്രാവാണ (പിഴിയുന്ന കല്ലുകൾ) ശുഭകരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; യജ്ഞങ്ങളും ശുഭരൂപമായിരിക്കട്ടെ. ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ശുഭം വരട്ടെ—സുരൂപമായ മിതികൾ/അളവുകൾ ശുഭകരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ശുഭം വരട്ടെ—പ്രസ്വഃ (വർദ്ധന/സമൃദ്ധി) ശുഭമായിരിക്കട്ടെ, വസ്തി (വാസസ്ഥലം) ശുഭമായിരിക്കട്ടെ, വേദി (യജ്ഞവേദി)യും ശുഭമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
