खे रथस्य खेऽनसः खे युगस्य शतक्रतो । अपालामिन्द्र त्रिष्पूत्वाकृणोः सूर्यत्वचम्

IAST Transliteration

khé rathásya khé ’násas khé yugásya śatakrato | apā́lām indra tríḥ pūtvā́kṛṇoḥ sū́rya-tvacam

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

In the socket of the chariot, in the socket of the wain, in the socket of the yoke, O Śatakratu—Apālā, O Indra, having thrice purified, thou madest sun-skinned.

Translation

ഹേ ശതക്രതു! രഥത്തിന്റെ കുഴിയിൽ, അനസ (വണ്ടി)യുടെ കുഴിയിൽ, യുഗത്തിന്റെ കുഴിയിൽ—ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ! അപാലയെ നീ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച് സൂര്യത്വച (സൂര്യസമാന തേജസ്സുള്ള ത്വക്ക്) ഉള്ളവളാക്കി.
