Application: Practice witness-attitude (sākṣitva), reduce blame/praise fixation, and apply discrimination between Self and guṇa-made personality.

Sandhi Resolution Notes: त्वञ्च = त्वम् + च; तथान्ये = तथा + अन्ये; भूतैरुह्याम = भूतैः + उह्याम; यात्ययं = याति + अयम्.

FAQs

It imparts Sāṅkhya-style metaphysical knowledge: embodied beings are propelled by the five elements and the ongoing current of the three guṇas, which drives worldly experience and change.

Alongside ritual, polity, and other sciences, the Agni Purana also preserves systematic philosophical instruction (guṇa-traya, bhūta-theory, bondage), showing its coverage of core Indian metaphysics in addition to practical disciplines.

By recognizing that the guṇas and elements propel the embodied condition, one cultivates detachment and discrimination (viveka), a prerequisite for reducing karmic entanglement and moving toward liberation.
