भरतोगात्सशत्रुघ्नो राघवं पूजयन् स्थितः रामो दुष्टान्निहत्याजौ शिष्टान् सम्पाल्य मानवः

ഭരതൻ ശത്രുഘ്നനോടുകൂടെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; രാഘവനായ രാമനെ പൂജിച്ച് ദൃഢമായി നിലകൊണ്ടു. ധർമ്മനിഷ്ഠനായ രാമൻ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ദുഷ്ടരെ നിഹതരാക്കി, ശിഷ്ടരെയും സദാചാരികളെയും സംരക്ഷിച്ചു.
