Chapter 24 — कुण्डनिर्माणादिविधिः

Procedure for Constructing the Fire-pit and Related Rites

सौम्याग्रा प्रथमा तस्यां रेखे पूर्वमुखे तयोः मध्ये तिस्रस् तथा कुर्याद्दक्षिणादिक्रमेण तु

saumyāgrā prathamā tasyāṃ rekhe pūrvamukhe tayoḥ madhye tisras tathā kuryāddakṣiṇādikrameṇa tu

ആ വിന്യാസത്തിൽ ആദ്യ രേഖയുടെ അഗ്രം സൗമ്യ (ഉത്തര) ദിശയിലേക്കാകണം. ആ രണ്ട് രേഖകളും കിഴക്കുമുഖമായിരിക്കണം. അവയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ തെക്കുദിശയിൽ നിന്ന് ക്രമമായി മൂന്ന് രേഖകളും അതുപോലെ വരയ്ക്കണം।
