दे॒वस्य॑ त्वा सवि॒तुः प्र॑स॒वेऽश्विनो॑र्बा॒हुभ्यां॑ पू॒ष्णो हस्ता॑भ्याम् । आ द॑दे॒ नार्य॑सी॒दम॒हᳪ रक्ष॑सां ग्री॒वा अपि॑ कृन्तामि । यवो॑ऽसि य॒वया॒स्मद्द्वेषो॑ य॒वयारा॑तीर्दि॒वे त्वा॒ऽन्तरि॑क्षाय त्वा पृथि॒व्यै त्वा शुन्ध॑न्तांल्लो॒काः पि॑तृ॒षद॑नाः पितृ॒षद॑नमसि
devasya tvā savituḥ prasave'śvinorbāhubhyāṃ pūṣṇo hastābhyām | ā dade nāryasīdam ahaṃ rakṣasāṃ grīvā api kṛntāmi | yavo'si yavayāsmaddveṣo yavayārātīr dive tvā'ntarikṣāya tvā pṛthivyai tvā śundhantāṃllokāḥ pitṛṣadanāḥ pitṛṣadanam asi
At the god Savitṛ’s impulsion I take thee with the arms of the Aśvins, with the hands of Pūṣan. Thou shalt not injure: with this I cut off the necks of the Rākṣasas. Thou art barley: drive thou away from us hatred; drive away malignity. For heaven thee, for the mid-air thee, for the earth thee—may the worlds purify thee. Thou art the Fathers’ seat; thou art a seat for the Fathers.
