The Esoteric Teaching on Umā’s Kriyāyoga
रथे प्रचलिते मन्दं जयशब्दमुदीरयेत् । पाहि देवि जनानस्मान्प्रपन्नान्दीनवत्सले

Tattva Level: pashu
It expresses prapatti (total surrender) to Devī Umā and asks for her protective grace—highlighting that divine compassion responds to the devotee’s refuge and humility, a key Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on anugraha (grace).
Though addressed to Devī, it supports Saguna worship in the Shiva Purana: devotees approach Shiva’s household (Śiva–Umā) through heartfelt acclamation and surrender, seeking protection and auspiciousness as part of embodied, devotional practice.
A simple bhakti practice is indicated: during a procession or temple movement (symbolized by the chariot), softly chant auspicious victory-cries and offer a surrender-prayer for protection—optionally paired with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as a Shaiva devotional support.
