Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It teaches vairagya by exposing sensual pleasure as a fleeting bodily relief, urging the seeker to turn from pasha (bondage of desire) toward Pati, Lord Shiva, the giver of liberation.
By reducing obsession with sense-enjoyment, the mind becomes fit for steady devotion to Saguna Shiva in Linga-worship, where purity, restraint, and one-pointed bhakti support inner stillness and grace.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya) with self-restraint (brahmacharya/indriya-nigraha), and cultivate dispassion before daily Shiva-puja to stabilize meditation.
