The verse highlights dharmic discernment (vicāra) before entering gṛhastha life—choosing and acting through auspicious virtues and proper rites—so worldly life supports purity of mind and gradual liberation under Shiva’s order (dharma).
By emphasizing vidhāna (right procedure) and śubha-guṇa (auspicious conduct), the verse mirrors the same principle applied in Saguna Shiva worship—Linga-pūjā is effective when performed with proper method, purity, and dharmic intention.
The direct takeaway is disciplined, rule-based practice (vidhāna): approach daily Shiva worship with regularity—e.g., japa of the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and simple Linga-arcana—grounded in ethical household virtues.
