Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights Shiva’s siddhānta of viveka (discernment): spiritual choices should be made only after examining their phala (consequence), and then held with dhruva-niścaya (steadfast resolve) aligned to dharma.
Saguna Shiva is approached through clear commitment and right understanding—this verse models the devotee’s attitude: test what leads to auspiciousness and then adhere firmly to the chosen Shaiva path of worship.
The takeaway is niścaya in sādhanā: adopt a steady daily discipline—such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with focused buddhi—and maintain it without wavering after recognizing its spiritual fruit.
