It presents a Shaiva yogic ideal: through niyama (disciplined observance), the ascetic’s mind becomes steadily absorbed in Oṁ, maturing into single-pointed meditation on Śiva—an inner path toward liberation under Pati (Śiva).
While not naming the Liṅga directly, it supports the inner counterpart of Saguna worship: external devotion culminates in dhyāna, where the mind rests in Śiva through Praṇava, the seed-sound that leads from form-based reverence to inner realization.
Regular disciplined practice (niyama) of japa and contemplation of Praṇava (Oṁ), maintaining continuous mental absorption, as a direct support for Śiva-dhyāna.
