Mantra 1
उत्त्वा मन्दन्तु सोमाः कृणुष्व राधो अद्रिवः अव ब्रह्मद्विषो जहि
May the Soma-draughts exhilarate thee; accomplish thou bounty, O Indra, wielder of the stone; smite down the haters of sacred prayer.
Mantra 2
गिर्वणः पाहि नः सुतं मधोर्धाराभिरज्यसे इन्द्र त्वादातमिद्यशः
O hymn-delighting Indra, drink our pressed Soma; with streams of sweetness thou art anointed: the glory is verily thy gift.
Mantra 3
सदा व इन्द्रश्चर्कृषदा उपो नु स सपर्यन् न देवो वृतः शूर इन्द्रः
Indra verily is ever active; therefore let him now approach: the god, the heroic Indra, invited (to the rite), comes, as it were, to the worshipper rendering him service.
Mantra 4
आ त्वा विशन्त्विन्दवः समुद्रमिव सिन्धवः न त्वामिन्द्राति रिच्यते
May the Soma-drops enter into thee, as rivers into the ocean; Indra, none surpasses thee.

इन्द्रमिद्गाथिनो बृहदिन्द्रमर्केभिरर्किणः इन्द्रं वाणीरनूषत
Indra indeed the gāthā-singers (celebrate) with the Bṛhat; Indra the hymn-utterers (praise) with their hymns; the voices have lauded Indra.

इन्द्र इषे ददातु न ऋभुक्षणमृभुं रयिम् वाजी ददातु वाजिनम्
May Indra bestow upon us nourishment; may he grant us wealth, (he) the skilful and beneficent; the giver of vāja, may he bestow the vigorous prize.

इन्द्रो अङ्ग महद्भयमभी षदप चुच्यवत् स हि स्थिरो विचर्षणिः
Indra indeed hath smitten the great fear, and hath driven it away; for he is steadfast, the ruler among men.
Mantra 8
इमा उ त्वा सुतेसुते नक्षन्ते गिर्वणो गिरः गावो वत्सं न धेनवः
These praises, O Girvaṇa Indra, reach thee at every Soma-pressing, as milch-kine (hasten) to their calf.

इन्द्रा नु पूषणा वयं सख्याय स्वस्तये हुवेम वाजसातये
Indra and Pūṣan, now may we invoke you for friendship and for welfare, for the winning of the prize.

न कि इन्द्र त्वदुत्तरं न ज्यायो अस्ति वृत्रहन् न क्येवं यथा त्वम्
None, Indra, is superior to thee; none is greater, O Vṛtrahan; none is such as thou art.
