जीवितंखलुरक्षस्वयदिशक्तोऽपिवानर ।तानितान्यात्मरूपाणिसृजसित्वमनेकशः ।।6.59.87।।
jīvitaṃ khalu rakṣasva yadi śakto 'pi vānara |
tāni tāny ātmarūpāṇi sṛjasi tvam anekaśaḥ ||6.59.87||
ໂອ ວານະຣາ, ຖ້າເຈົ້າມີພະລັງຈິງ ຈົ່ງຮັກສາຊີວິດຂອງເຈົ້າໃຫ້ພົ້ນ; ແມ່ນແຕ່ເຈົ້າຈະແປງຮູບຂອງຕົນເອງເປັນຫຼາຍຢ່າງ ຊ້ຳໆກໍຕາມ
"Oh monkey! You are taking different forms and doing different deeds. If you have the ability, save your life."
It points to accountability in battle (raṇa-dharma): skill and display (like assuming forms) cannot replace preparedness for consequences; one must protect life and act responsibly when challenged.
Rāvaṇa taunts the Vānara commander Nīla for using many forms and warns him to try saving himself.
A hard, martial realism is emphasized—valor measured by effectiveness and steadiness under threat, not merely by spectacle.
