Rama-Stava: Brahma Reveals Rama’s Nārāyaṇa Identity
शार्ङ्गधन्वाहृषीकेशःपुरुषःपुरुषोत्तमः ।।।।अजितःखङ्गदृग्विष्णुःकृष्णश्चैवमहाबलः ।
śārṅgadhanvā hṛṣīkeśaḥ puruṣaḥ puruṣottamaḥ | ajitaḥ khaṅgadṛg viṣṇuḥ kṛṣṇaś caiva mahābalaḥ ||
ພຣະອົງແມ່ນຜູ້ຖືຄັນທະນູສາຣັງຄະ, ຫຣິສີເກສະ, ເປັນປຸຣຸສະ ແລະ ປຸຣຸສົດຕະມະ. ພຣະອົງແມ່ນອະຊິຕະຜູ້ບໍ່ຖືກພິຊິດ ຜູ້ຖືດາບ; ເປັນພຣະວິສນຸ—ເປັນພຣະກຣິສນະດ້ວຍ—ຜູ້ມີພະລັງອັນຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່
"You are the wielder of Sarang bow, subduer of enemies, a supreme person, never faced defeat, wielder of sword, Vishnu, Krishna also and mighty."
Dharma is protected through disciplined power: the Supreme Person is depicted as both ruler of the senses and wielder of weapons—suggesting moral order requires inner mastery and righteous strength.
The hymn identifies Rāma with major Viṣṇu-epithets, framing his battle as a dharmic intervention rather than mere personal conflict.
Indriya-nigraha (control of the senses) paired with vīrya (moral valor): power is legitimate when governed by self-mastery.
