'Highly powerful Sugriva enquires your welfare. He sends beneficial advice to you for your righteousness, pleasures and well-being.
Good counsel (hita, pathya) is itself dharmic: even toward an adversary, a righteous party may offer advice that restores moral order and social well-being.
Hanumān continues his formal embassy, reporting that Sugrīva sends greetings and principled counsel.
Statesmanship and restraint: the message frames the conflict within the puruṣārthas, implying lawful, ordered living rather than mere hostility.
