Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
सपर्वतवनोद्देशां साट्टप्राकारतोरणाम्।लङ्कामिमां सनाथां वा नयितुं शक्तिरस्ति मे।।।।
saparvatavanoddeśāṃ sāṭṭaprākāratoraṇām | laṅkām imāṃ sanāthāṃ vā nayituṃ śaktir asti me ||
ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າມີລິດອານຸພາບທີ່ຈະຍົກພາລັງການີ້ໄປໄດ້—ພ້ອມທັງກະສັດຂອງມັນ—ຄົບດ້ວຍພູເຂົາແລະປ່າພົງ ກຳແພງປ້ອມປະການ ກຳແພງເມືອງ ແລະປະຕູທາງເຂົ້າທັງຫມົດ.
"I have the capacity to carry away this entire Lanka uprooted with its mountains, gardens, forts, ramparts and gateways along with the king.
Strength is justified when aligned with dharma: Hanumān asserts immense capability to reassure Sītā and to oppose adharma, while remaining a servant of Rāma’s righteous cause.
After revealing his true form, Hanumān verbally confirms the extent of his power so Sītā may trust his ability to rescue and protect.
Confidence grounded in truth (satya) and devotion—Hanumān’s bold claim functions as reassurance, not arrogance.
