Rāma Subdues Paraśurāma; the Vaiṣṇava Arrow Is Discharged
तेजोभिहतवीर्यत्वाज्जामदग्न्यो जडीकृत:।रामं कमलपत्राक्षं मन्दं मन्दमुवाच ह।।।।
tejobhi hatavīryatvāj jāmadagnyo jaḍīkṛtaḥ | rāmaṃ kamalapatrākṣaṃ mandaṃ mandam uvāca ha ||
ດ້ວຍຣັດສະມີເດດຂອງພຣະຣາມ ວີຣະພາບຂອງຊາມະດັກນະຍະຖືກຂັດຂວາງ ຈົນຢືນນິ່ງ; ແລ້ວຈຶ່ງເວົ້າກັບພຣະຣາມຜູ້ມີນັຍນາດຸດກີບບົວ ດ້ວຍສຽງແຜ່ວເບົາ ຊ້ຳໆຢ່າງອ່ອນໂຍນ
His energy subdued by Rama's prowess, the paralysed, Parasurama, son of Jamadagni spoke in gentle words to him whose eyes resembled the lotus petals:
Dharma includes the capacity to soften after correction: once pride is checked, speech becomes measured and respectful.
After realizing Rāma’s superior power, Paraśurāma’s stance shifts from challenge to gentle speech.
Paraśurāma’s acceptance of truth (satya-buddhi) and emerging humility after being overpowered.
