When, the gods invited by him did not come to receive their share of offerings, the great ascetic Viswamitra seized with anger lifted the sacrificial ladle and said to Trisanku:
The verse frames a dharmic tension: ritual order expects divine participation, yet refusal triggers a human response—raising questions about rightful authority, anger, and the limits of ritual power.
During Viśvāmitra’s sacrifice for Triśaṅku, the gods refuse to attend for their share; Viśvāmitra reacts strongly and addresses Triśaṅku.
Determination (though mixed with anger): Viśvāmitra’s refusal to abandon his undertaking despite divine non-cooperation.
