Narada (narrating the Prabhāsa tīrtha-mahātmya; devotional injunction in praise of Śiva at Prabhāsa)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
The verse presents namaskāra (reverent bowing) to Prabhāseśa Śiva as a direct means of pāpa-kṣaya (destruction of sin), emphasizing the purifying power of devotion within a tīrtha-māhātmya context.
Bhakti here is expressed through humble surrender—addressing the deity as Deveśa and seeking inner cleansing—showing that heartfelt obeisance and remembrance at a sacred site is itself a complete devotional act.
Ritual practice is implied: namaskāra as an aṅga of pūjā and tīrtha-yātrā discipline (prayoga), with the practical takeaway that correct devotional observance at a kṣetra is treated as a form of prāyaścitta (expiatory practice).
