Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma

मुक्त्वैकं ब्राह्मणं लोके नोक्तं शूद्रविशोरपि । दानं हि पालनं युद्धं तृतीयं भूभुजां स्मृतम् ॥ २ ॥

muktvaikaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ loke noktaṃ śūdraviśorapi | dānaṃ hi pālanaṃ yuddhaṃ tṛtīyaṃ bhūbhujāṃ smṛtam || 2 ||

ນອກຈາກພຣາຫມະນະແຕ່ຜູ້ດຽວ ໃນໂລກນີ້ ບໍ່ໄດ້ກ່າວໄວ້ວ່າ ຊູດຣະ ຫຼື ໄວຊະຍະ ມີໜ້າທີ່ອື່ນ. ແຕ່ສໍາລັບກະສັດ ການໃຫ້ທານ, ການປົກປ້ອງປົກຄອງ, ແລະການຮົບ ຖືກຈື່ຈໍາວ່າເປັນສາມປະການຫຼັກ.
