Adhyaya 82 — The Rise of Mahishasura and the Manifestation of the Goddess from the Gods’ Tejas
एतद्वः कथितं सर्वममरारिविचेष्टितम् । शरणं वः प्रपन्नाः स्मो वधस्तस्य विचिन्त्यताम् ॥
etad vaḥ kathitaṃ sarvam amarāriviceṣṭitam / śaraṇaṃ vaḥ prapannāḥ smo vadhastasya vicintyatām
ທຸກຢ່າງນີ້ໄດ້ຖືກເລົ່າໃຫ້ທ່ານຟັງແລ້ວ—ການປະພຶດຂອງສັດຕູແຫ່ງຜູ້ອະມະຕະ. ພວກເຮົາມາພຶ່ງພາທ່ານ; ຂໍໃຫ້ກໍານົດໃຈໃນການປະຫານມັນ.
Śaraṇāgati is presented as an active moral turning: acknowledging disorder, narrating truthfully, and requesting decisive action for the protection of the world.
Carita (narrative) functioning as dharma-teaching: proper response to overwhelming adharma is coordinated appeal to the highest principle.
The ‘enemy of immortals’ can be read as the force that undermines deathlessness (amṛtatva) within—ignorance and pride. Refuge indicates the inward return to the source (Śakti) that alone can dissolve it.
