मया चास्मै प्रतिज्ञाता भार्येति मदिरेक्षणा ।

न चेच्छसि विवाहं त्वं सङ्कटं नः समागतम् ॥

Transliteration

mayā cāsmai pratijñātā bhāryeti madirekṣaṇā / na cecchasi vivāhaṃ tvaṃ saṅkaṭaṃ naḥ samāgatam

Translation

«ແລະຂ້ອຍໄດ້ສັນຍາຈະມອບນາງໃຫ້ເປັນພັນລະຍາຂອງລາວ—ນາງສາວຕາດຳນີ້. ຖ້າເຈົ້າບໍ່ປາດຖະນາການແຕ່ງງານ ກໍເທົ່າກັບວ່າຄວາມລຳບາກຢ່າງໜັກ (grave difficulty) ໄດ້ມາຮອດພວກເຮົາແລ້ວ»។
