Educational Q&A

Ethical action begins with reflection: Yudhiṣṭhira does not speak impulsively about exile and duty. He thinks first, then seeks confidential counsel with Arjuna, modeling restraint, prudence, and dharma-guided decision-making.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira, after briefly contemplating the situation of forest exile, turns to Arjuna and speaks with him in private, setting up a confidential discussion about their course of action.
