एवं विवस्वता तात छतन्नेनोत्तमतेजसा । निर्दग्धा: शात्रवा: सर्वे वसता भुवि सर्वश:,“तात! इसी प्रकार महातेजस्वी भगवान् सूर्यने भी पृथ्वीपर गुप्तरूपसे निवास करके समस्त शत्रुओंको दग्ध किया है
evaṁ vivasvatā tāta chadmanenottama-tejasā | nirdagdhāḥ śātravāḥ sarve vasatā bhuvi sarvaśaḥ ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ເຊັ່ນດຽວກັນນັ້ນ ລູກເອີຍ, ພຣະວິວັສວານ—ເທວະແຫ່ງຕາເວັນຜູ້ມີລັດສະໝີຫາທຽບບໍ່ໄດ້—ໄດ້ພັກອາໄສຢູ່ເທິງແຜ່ນດິນດ້ວຍຮູບອັນລັບໆ ແລະດ້ວຍການຢູ່ຢ່າງລັບນັ້ນ ໄດ້ເຜົາຜານສັດຕູທັງປວງທຸກທິດ»។
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Power guided by dharma need not always be displayed openly; at times, restraint and concealment (chadman) can be a righteous means to neutralize hostility and protect order, as illustrated through the Sun-god’s hidden presence that destroys enemies.
Vaiśaṃpāyana gives an illustrative comparison: Vivasvān (the Sun) is said to have lived on earth in a concealed form and, through his supreme radiance, burned up all hostile forces everywhere—an example of hidden, effective divine action.
