वरं वृणीष्व राजेन्द्र दाता हास्मि तवानघ । ये हि मे पुरुषा भक्ता न तेषामस्ति दुर्गति:
varaṁ vṛṇīṣva rājendra dātā hāsmi tavānagha | ye hi me puruṣā bhaktā na teṣām asti durgatiḥ ||
ຍັກສະກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ຈອມກະສັດ, ຜູ້ບໍ່ມີມົນທິນ, ຈົ່ງເລືອກພອນຕາມໃຈ; ຂ້າພ້ອມຈະປະທານໃຫ້ເຈົ້າ. ເພາະຜູ້ໃດທີ່ເປັນຜູ້ສັດທາຕໍ່ຂ້າ ຍ່ອມບໍ່ຕົກສູ່ຄວາມພິນາດ ຫຼືຈຸດຈົບອັນເລວຮ້າຍ».
यक्ष उवाच
Devotion (bhakti) to a worthy divine power is presented as a safeguard against moral and existential downfall (durgati), and divine favor is framed as responsive to the devotee’s right choice (vara-vṛṇīṣva).
In the Yakṣa–Yudhiṣṭhira encounter, after testing the king through questions, the Yakṣa offers him a boon and assures him that those devoted to the Yakṣa do not meet a ruinous fate.
