जयद्रथ-निग्रहः — Jayadratha Restrained, Shamed, and Released
एष ते वैष्णवो नाम यज्ञ: सत्पुरुषोचित:
eṣa te vaiṣṇavo nāma yajñaḥ satpuruṣocitaḥ |
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ນີ້ແມ່ນພິທີບູຊາທີ່ເອີ້ນວ່າ ‘ໄວສະນະວະ’ ທີ່ຂ້າໄດ້ອະທິບາຍໃຫ້ທ່ານ—ເໝາະສົມສໍາລັບສັດບຸລຸດ ແລະຜູ້ມີຄຸນທໍາ. ມັນເປັນພິທີທີ່ມຸ່ງໄປຫາພຣະວິສະນຸ ແລະມາດຕະຖານຂອງຄົນດີ».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse frames the Vaiṣṇava sacrifice as ‘satpuruṣocita’—fit for the virtuous—linking religious practice to moral worth and presenting devotion to Viṣṇu as a dharmic, ethically appropriate act rather than mere ceremony.
Vaiśampāyana, as narrator, identifies and commends a specific rite—the Vaiṣṇava-yajña—addressing his listener and characterizing the sacrifice as proper for noble persons, thereby elevating its status within the ongoing discourse.
