महाभये वीतभय: कृतास्त्र: समागमे शत्रुबलावमर्दी । सकृद् रथेनाप्रतिमान् रथौघान् पदातिसंघान् गदयाभिनिध्नन्
sañjaya uvāca |
mahābhaye vītabhayaḥ kṛtāstraḥ samāgame śatrubalāvamardī |
sakṛd rathenāpratimān rathaughān padātisaṅghān gadayābhinighnan ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ແມ່ນແຕ່ໃນພະຍຸອັນຕະລາຍໃຫຍ່ ລາວກໍຍັງບໍ່ຫວາດຫວັນ; ຝຶກຝົນອາວຸດທຸກປະເພດຢ່າງຄົບຖ້ວນ; ແລະໃນການປະຈັນໜ້າ ລາວເປັນຜູ້ບີບຂະຍີ້ກຳລັງສັດຕູ. ຂຶ້ນຢູ່ເທິງລົດຮົບພຽງຄັນດຽວ, ພີມເສນ ຈະຟາດດ້ວຍຄອນຂອງລາວ ຈົນລົ້ມລົງທັງຝູງລົດຮົບອັນຫາທຽບບໍ່ໄດ້ ແລະແຖວທະຫານຍ່າງທີ່ໜາແນ້ນ—ເປັນພາບແຫ່ງອຳນາດອັນທ້ວມທົ່ວ ທີ່ເຕືອນເຖິງຄວາມພິນາດຈາກສົງຄາມອະທຳ ແລະຄວາມເສຍໃຈຂົມຂື່ນຂອງຜູ້ກໍ່ມັນ.»
