Indra-vijaya Upākhyāna and Śalya’s Assurance to Yudhiṣṭhira (इन्द्रविजयोपाख्यानम् — शल्ययुधिष्ठिरसंवादः)
evaṁ tava durātmānaḥ śatravaḥ śatrusūdana | kṣipraṁ nāśaṁ gamiṣyanti karṇa-duryodhanādayaḥ ||
The verse underscores a dharmic principle: persistent wickedness and hostility toward the righteous lead swiftly to ruin; moral disorder carries its own consequence.
Śalya addresses a heroic opponent-destroyer (śatrusūdana) and predicts that the Kaurava leaders—Karna, Duryodhana, and others—will soon be destroyed, offering reassurance about the downfall of the unrighteous side.
