भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शान्त्युपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel to Duryodhana for Pacification
“जो लोग तुम्हें युद्धके लिये उत्साहित कर रहे हैं, ये कभी तुम्हारे काम नहीं आ सकते। ये युद्धका अवसर आनेपर वैरका बोझ दूसरेके कंधेपर डाल देंगे ।।
vaiśampāyana uvāca | mā jīghnaḥ prajāḥ sarvāḥ putrān bhrātṝṃs tathaiva ca | vāsudevārjunau yatra viddhy ajeyānalaṃ hi tān ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະກ່າວວ່າ: «ຢ່າໃຫ້ເກີດການຂ້າຟັນປະຊາຊົນທັງປວງ—ຢ່າໃຫ້ຂ້າລູກຊາຍ ແລະອ້າຍນ້ອງດ້ວຍ. ຈົ່ງຮູ້ໄວ້ແນ່ນອນ: ບ່ອນໃດທີ່ ວາສຸເທວະ (ກຣິສນະ) ແລະ ອັຣຈຸນ ຢືນຢູ່ ນັກຮົບຝ່າຍນັ້ນຄວນຖືວ່າບໍ່ອາດພ່າຍແພ້ໃນສົງຄາມ. ແລະສ່ວນຜູ້ທີ່ຍຸຍົງເຈົ້າໃຫ້ໄປສົງຄາມ—ພວກເຂົາບໍ່ຊ່ວຍເຈົ້າຢ່າງແທ້ຈິງ; ເມື່ອເຖິງເວລາຮົບ ພວກເຂົາຈະໂຍນພາລະແຫ່ງຄວາມອາຄາດໄປໃສ່ບ່າຂອງຄົນອື່ນ»។
