सान्त्व-निति: (Sāntva-Nīti) — The One-Word Principle of Conciliation

आदानादपि भूतानां मधुरामीरयन्‌ गिरम्‌ | सर्वलोकमिमं शक्र सान्त्वेन कुरुते वशे,शक्र! मधुर वचन बोलनेवाला मनुष्य लोगोंकी कोई वस्तु लेकर भी अपनी मधुर वाणीद्वारा इस सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌को वशमें कर लेता है

ādānād api bhūtānāṁ madhurām īrayan giram | sarvalokam imaṁ śakra sāntvena kurute vaśe ||

ສັກຣະ (ອິນທຣະ) ກ່າວວ່າ: «ແມ່ນແຕ່ໃນເວລາທີ່ເອົາສິ່ງໃດຈາກຜູ້ອື່ນ ຜູ້ທີ່ເວົ້າຄໍາຫວານກໍສາມາດໃຊ້ການປອບໂຍນຢ່າງອ່ອນໂຍນ ນໍາໂລກທັງປວງນີ້ໃຫ້ຢູ່ໃນອໍານາດອິດທິພົນຂອງຕົນໄດ້. ນີ້ແມ່ນພະລັງຂອງຄໍາສຸພາບ ແລະຄໍາທີ່ນ່າຟັງ ທີ່ຊະນະໃຈຄົນ ແລະເຮັດໃຫ້ເຂົາຍອມຕາມໂດຍບໍ່ຕ້ອງໃຊ້ຄວາມແຂງກະດ້າງ.»
