Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
शान्ति: सा त्रिषु लोकेषु विहिता भावितात्मना । एतया शुभया बुद्धया नैछिकं व्रतमास्थित:
śāntiḥ sā triṣu lokeṣu vihitā bhāvitātmanā | etayā śubhayā buddhyā naiṣṭhikaṁ vratam āsthitaḥ ||
ນາຣະດະກ່າວວ່າ: «ສັນຕິນັ້ນ—ທີ່ຖືກສະຖາປະນາໄວ້ທົ່ວສາມໂລກ—ໄດ້ຖືກວາງໄວ້ໂດຍຜູ້ທີ່ຝຶກຝົນຕົນເອງຈົນສົມບູນ. ດ້ວຍປັນຍາອັນມົງຄຸນ ແລະນຳພາຄວາມຜາສຸກນີ້, ຜູ້ນັ້ນດຳລົງຢູ່ໃນວຣະຕະໄນສະຖິກະ (Naiṣṭhika) ຢ່າງໝັ້ນຄົງ, ຢືນຢັນໃນຄຳປະຕິຍານທາງຈິດວິນຍານຢ່າງບໍ່ຫວັ່ນໄຫວ».
नारद उवाच
Peace in society and the cosmos is grounded in inner cultivation: a disciplined, matured self (bhāvitātman) guided by auspicious discernment (śubhā buddhi) can establish and sustain śānti, and such stability is expressed through steadfast ethical-spiritual commitment (naiṣṭhika vrata).
Nārada is describing an exemplary spiritually accomplished person whose inner discipline and beneficent understanding have made peace pervasive across the three worlds; he emphasizes the role of firm vows and unwavering practice in maintaining that peace.
