Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)
साहं मानप्रदानेन वागातिथ्येन चार्चिता । सुप्ता सुशरणं प्रीता श्वो गमिष्यामि मैथिल
sāhaṃ mānapradānena vāgātithyena cārcitā | suptā suśaraṇaṃ prītā śvo gamiṣyāmi maithila ||
ພີດສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: «ດ້ວຍການມອບເກຍດຂອງພຣະອົງ ແລະດ້ວຍການຕ້ອນຮັບອັນອ່ອນໂຍນຈາກຖ້ອຍຄໍາອັນງາມ ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຖືກເກຍດຊູ ແລະພໍໃຈແລ້ວ. ເມື່ອໄດ້ພັກຢ່າງປອດໄພໃນທີ່ພຶ່ງອັນດີຂອງພຣະອົງ ໂອ ກະສັດແຫ່ງມິຖິລາ, ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຈະອອກເດີນທາງຈາກນີ້ໃນມື້ພຸ່ງນີ້».
भीष्य उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette: honouring a guest through respect (māna) and gracious speech (vāg-ātithya). True hospitality is not only material provision but also courteous words and a sense of secure refuge.
The speaker expresses gratitude to the king of Mithila for respectful reception and verbal hospitality, states that she will rest safely under his shelter, and announces her departure the next day.
